This beautiful seagull, with a cheeky and mischievous personality, provided quite a spectacular moment. I have a theory that animals seem to know when they are being photographed. Unlike my beautiful dog, the seagull is not afraid of the lens.

The seagull posed for several seconds and did not flinch as I gradually became closer and closer. In fact, when the seagull had quite enough camera time it flew off. Inflight the seagull soared low, a very excited pelican thought it had scored some easy lunch. Just at the last millisecond, the seagull pulled up into the sky away from the pelicans mouth. All we heard was a loud clap from the pelicans beak and a cheeky squawk from the seagull.
