I took this photograph on a cold and blistery afternoon out at The Gap in Albany WA. The mountain side does not give away the rugged coastline. I captured the shift from mid-day light to afternoon light. Sunlight, piercing through translucent clouds, coats the mountain side. The light distorts the distance between the background and foreground. Drawing our eye to saturated shrubs. These shrubs remind me of farm land, but before I am lost in thought, the rocks draw me back to the rugged coast line. Reminding me, we can not always change our situation but we certainly have the ability to change our perception and create what we want to see.
